Who is God? What is He like? Often I find myself meditating on this and what does this mean to us human beings. I then try to capture my thoughts in a poem such as this one.
The Lord God Almighty,
Author of all life,
beauty, diversity,
truth, love and light;
Master of the universe,
King of creation,
Director of all history,
Ruler of the nations,
The Judge of every person,
Provider of salvation,
Keeper of our souls,
Lord of each situation,
The Rock of sure foundation,
Protector of the meek,
Hope of those who trust Him,
Strength of the weak.
This Holy One, my Saviour,
is the Captor of my heart;
my Lord and King, my Shepherd,
who will not fail me or depart.
