We have a Father in Heaven:
a Papa who loves us and cares.
He pained to see us not know Him,
so our sin He took and beared.
What love led the Saviour to Calvary!
What grace does the Father extend
to us far removed from Him.
To remove the wall, Christ was sent.
Nothing we do can earn favour;
our good’s not enough – tis gloss;
nothing is too bad to be pardoned:
Jesus bore all God’s wrath on the Cross.
Do not spurn or ignore God’s love!
It was for us He died at great cost!
Your Papa waits to receive you;
you need no longer be lost.
His love cannot fail; He makes no mistakes;
He is strong; will protect and provide.
He’s always the same: today, each tomorrow;
embraced in Papa’s arms, abide.
