“I Will Trust You” is poem 3 in what I call my pit poems. When filled with hurt and feeling all alone without any solutions to be seen, my heart just cried out to see light at the end of the tunnel, and for God to hold on to me.
This poem is a prayer – poems were my form of journalling during this difficult season of my life.
It is in both books “Comfort When Life Hurts” and “My Prayers“.
I Will Trust You
Show me Your way;
I feel lost and afraid.
Dark clouds envelop my soul;
deliver me from their hold.
I know not which way to go;
I’m overcome with my woe.
Lord, reach out to me;
take my hand; let me see.
Lord, I believe!
Do not from me leave.
Your presence I need,
Your Words make me heed,
remove every doubt
and change when I pout.
You are loving and kind,
faithful all times.
In You, life makes sense;
You’re my Refuge, Defence.
I will trust You though night,
for with You it is light!
